Rowley can't concentrate his homework because Greg is annoying him, showing that Greg is using his friend for nothing. In Diary Of An Awesome Friendly Kid, Greg uses Rowley to do the former's homework. However, he also occasionally demonstrates a degree of kindness in some of his actions when he’s able to put this goal aside. He frequently goes to great lengths to acheive popularity, even if it means displaying antagonistic behavior or abusing his best friend, Rowley. He is the middle son of Frank and Susan Heffley, and a 12 year-old middle school student who aspires to be massively popular above everything, despite not everything leaning in his favor. Gregory " Greg" Heffley is the central character of the series.
